You walk into the gas station. You want some chips. You browse the aisle. These are your options: Cheetos, Takis, Salt and Vinegar potato chips, Pringles, Doritos Nachos, Sun Chips, Doritos Cool Ranch, Fritos, and Funyuns. You think all this says about you is what you’re craving at the moment and what you like? Wrong. This determines your Harry Potter house. For 7 years. Are you going to end up at the Great Hall table with Draco? Will you end up Wingardium Leviosaing with Hermione? Let your chip choice decide.
Cheetos or Doritos Nachos
If you chose Cheetos or Doritos Nachos, congratulations. You are a Gryffindor. Gryffindor’s are noted for their bravery, courage, and determination. Look. If you eat a bag of Cheetos or Doritos Nachos you’re not getting out of there without orange fingers. It’s just a fact. And it’s also the gift that keeps giving once your bag is finished. You like a good chip, but you also have come to terms with that it’s going to be a bit messy and you’re fine with it. You can take on the task. Mischief managed. It’s a sheer act of bravery. These are two solid classics, and you’re brave enough for the mess.
Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips or Doritos Cool Ranch
If you chose Salt and Vinegar potato chips or Doritos Cool Ranch, congratulations, you are a Ravenclaw! Ravenclaws are noted for their wisdom, wit, and intellect. Okay look. If you’re choosing Salt and Vinegar as your chip choice you’re not an every man. You have ~refined~ taste. You probably watch cooking shows and prefer your hamburger buns toasted. You’re not just grabbing a bag and going with no sense or purpose or order. No. Your tastes are precise and unique. They are complex and thought-out. Although Doritos Cool Ranch is a classic, it is also a very unique chip choice that when you think of it is totally unique. Cheese chips? There’s 50 of those. Find a chip that tastes nothing but everything like ranch with also little pieces that strangely like small pieces of confetti but you shrug and eat them anyway. Yeah there’s only one.
Sun Chips or Pringles
If you chose Sun Chips or Pringles, congratulations, you are a Hufflepuff. Hufflepuffs are noted for their dedication, patience, and loyalty. No one chooses Sun Chips unless you are a loyal fan to them. No one. But those who like them love them. Pringles come in a full can and no one but the most determined can make it through a whole can. Hufflepuffs are generally thought of as like-able, so Pringles are also a perfect chip to share with others and your friends. You can also make chip duck faces with them, so do Hufflepuffs have more fun?
Takis or Fritos
If you chose Takis or Fritos you already know what house you are in. It doesn’t have to be said. Hello Slytherin. Slytherin are known for their ambition, cleverness, and cunning. Let’s take the mess of Cheetos and light it on fire and you have yourself it’s dark cousin: Takis. Gryffindor and Slytherins are actually quite similar, but here is the important distinction: Takis will destroy you and your life. Any mess a Cheeto made, Takis will make 5 times worse. Takis red color will dye your fingers. There’s no hiding if you ate them. And on top of their appearance they are spicy. You make it through a bag of Takis you just did an unofficial audition for Fear Factor. You even rub your eye for one second and you might have to take a trip to the E.R. Congratulations. Your car ride and bag of chips has to make a detour. You don’t care. It’s a challenge you are willing take. If you chose Fritos you knew exactly what you were choosing: violence. Fritos seem sweet. They seem innocent. But you eat a bag and boom comes out the cunning. Your mouth will be ripped to shreds.
Funyuns
If you chose Funyuns you are a dementor.

If you have followed news, with or without trying, the past year you will know that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have stepped down from their royal titles and duties and moved from England to Los Angeles, California. This decision was met with a lot of controversy and public (and surely private) opinion, and how you feel about the matter basically comes down to two categories: whether your loyalty lies more with the Crown and tradition as a whole or whether you value individuality and like the royal family members as individual people. If you are in the boat of the later and liking them as individuals, Harry and Meghan leaving England and their titles to pursue normality, better living conditions, better mental health, safety for their family, and able to pursue their own dreams is surely seen as nothing short of a brave and heroic act.
Harry recently had a segment on James Corden’s show, and let me tell you what: if you grew up being a bigger fan of Prince William, it’s been Harry’s time to shine, and after watching this segment here are reasons why Harry is now OUR KING.
1. Down to earth
James Corden did the interview on top of a tour bus and not only did Harry seem fine with this, but excited, as he had never ridden on an open tour bus before. His easy conversing made Harry seem like an ordinary, but amazing, guy and all around really like-able.
2. Hilarious
Ummm… not a sense of humor! From the start Harry was so quick and witty. But also was gracious, went with the flow, and was not rude when things went wrong… i.e. the tea station falling and James telling him to clean it up.
3. Fit
Wow getting to use British slang all at the same time. Okay but did you see him crush that ropes course? Harry served in the military for 10 years and it shows! His easiness climbing the rope was impressive and him exclaiming after that it was fun and wanted to do it again was really amazing!
4. Open
British royalty has historically been very private and Harry sharing personal stories of Zooming his grandma (THE QUEEN) and his grandfather closing the computer to end Zoom calls were not only amazing stories but added a humanness to the British royal family. Finding out Harry watched The Crown and his comments on it were amazing and insightful.
5. Talks about important topics
Lastly, one of the most impressive and important parts of this interview was his openness and self-awareness… and talking about it! Harry confided that he stepped back from his roles for his mental health. This was impressive as it not only addressed an important topic, shows his awareness of his own self, but did not put any blame or reasoning on Meghan, as the British media was villianizing her and making it seem as though she was the cause.
Harry’s move away from the Crown and to America was a huge move in every way and followed in the footsteps of his mother, Diana. This interview gave us insight into Harry as a real person, and surely, he is the king of our hearts.

When Marvel’s Spider-Man swung on to the pages of Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962, no one could have guessed how the wall-crawler would revolutionize the comics industry for decades to come. With hundreds of comic issues and numerous movies under his belt, Spider-Man has become a household name in nearly every part of the world. His red and blue suit are instantly recognizable, and his story of tragedy and responsibility has been told dozens of times over. One of the more popular forms of Spider-Man related media in the past fifteen years has been the big screen adaptations of the web-slinger, of which there have been eight up to this point. It’s pretty common knowledge that all eight of these films aren’t exactly connected, however, the character has been rebooted a couple of different times since the first Spider-Man movie featuring Tobey Maguire that was released in 2002. In recent years, British actor Tom Holland has been playing Spider-Man as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) being pretty well-received by fans. Now with the third film in the series on the horizon, news of a massive crossover has been circulating all over the internet. Reports from The Hollywood Reporter in recent weeks have said that numerous characters from past Spider-Man films will return for the newest installment, leading many to speculate that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man will make an appearance. This would be reminiscent of the highly successful Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) film, which saw all kinds of Spider-Men from different dimensions come together in one movie. With the movies taking so many different chances and adapting so many different stories, it’s enough to make a more casual fan wonder just how exciting the source material is. And as exciting as it may be to dive into Spider-Man’s source material, it can also be a pretty daunting task considering there are nearly sixty years worth of comics to comb through. Well we’re going to make that process a little bit easier for you, by giving you some of the best Spider-Man comics to get started with so you can build a greater appreciation for New York City’s favorite teenage arachnid.
Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collection: Great Power
When it comes to Spider-Man stories, there’s no better place to start from than the beginning. Spider-Man was introduced to the world in Amazing Fantasy #15, before he had his own solo series. For the first time, everyone got to know awkward high school student Peter Parker and watched as he got bitten by a radioactive spider and soon learned the importance of responsibility after his Uncle Ben was tragically killed. This collection contains that very first Spider-Man comic, along with the first seventeen issues of the Amazing Spider-Man series. Here we are introduced to Spider-Man’s most recognizable villains, such as Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, and Sandman. It’s classic Spider-Man at his best, with masterful storytelling from the legendary Stan Lee and the gorgeous art of Steve Ditko pairing perfectly with one another to make for the most iconic comic books of the 20th century. You can grab yourself a piece of history right here.
Spider-Man: Death of the Stacys
If there’s one thing that Spider-Man’s character is known for, it’s tragedy. It seems that for every quip and lighthearted moment that the web-slinger has, there’s an equally heart-wrenching moment that comes along to put things into perspective and give Peter Parker’s actions a sense of weight. That weight of responsibility was at arguably its heaviest when Spider-Man was faced with the death of his girlfriend’s dad, and then not too long after that, the death of that same girlfriend. These two deaths were both remarkably traumatizing for Spider-Man and shaped how protective of his loved ones he would be for years to come. On top of being a pivotal point of development for Peter Parker’s character, The Night Gwen Stacy Died is perhaps one of the most iconic Spider-Man stories to ever be produced by Marvel. It’s essential reading for any budding comic reader, and you can pick up your own copy right here.
Spider-Man: Maximum Carnage
Some of Spider-Man’s best stories are when he’s set against insurmountable odds but still comes out on top in the end. It’s a testament to his versatility, and it always makes for an inspiring story that people can look back on during hard times. One of the more ambitious Spider-Man comic events comes in the form of the Maximum Carnage series that saw Spidey’s most sadistic villain, Carnage, build his own gang of supervillains and wreak havoc through New York. This particular comic series is also a pretty big crossover for the webhead, as he enlists the help of other big superheroes such as Captain America, Cloak, and Dagger. The most exciting aspect of this series is its focus on the characters of Carnage and Venom, fan favorite villains that will soon be seeing film adaptations in the upcoming film, Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). These toothy miscreants boast the most frightening and simultaneously sick designs in comics, and the Maximum Carnage series commits plenty of pages showing off their nightmarish appearances. It’s a great series for people looking to see how Spider-Man does in a teamup, and you can take a look for yourself right here.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales Vol. 1 (2016)
In recent years, Spider-Men other than Peter Parker have been introduced in the comics and built their own following of devoted fans. With events like Spider-Verse, there have been more Spideys in the comics than you could shoot a web at, but one that has stood the test of time since their introduction is Miles Morales. Miles’ first appearance was in the Ultimate Marvel line of comics, a series that took place in an alternate universe different from the Marvel universe that had been created up to that point. This comic run saw a lot of fan favorite characters get modernized or altered in one way or another, and Spider-Man was no exception. Where other characters got new costumes or origin stories however, Peter Parker was not so lucky. Very early on in the Ultimate Marvel Spider-Man series, Peter Parker was dramatically killed, and Miles Morales took over as New York’s resident wall-crawler. As the Ultimate Marvel series drew to a close however, people wanted to know what would happen to their new favorite Spider-Man. Well, to the delight of fans everywhere, Miles Morales was added to the regular Marvel universe and was able to interact with all of the other characters we know and love, including a very much alive Peter Parker. Since Miles was added to the current Marvel comics continuity, he’s been featured in many other forms of Spider-Man related media, including the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) film, and the more recent Spider-Man video games. His popularity is certainly on an upward trend that only seems to be going higher, and his first volume of issues in the normal Marvel universe is a reflection of that. You can see what all the excitement is about by picking up that first volume right here.
. . .
As far as comic book characters go, Spider-Man stands as one of the most recognizable and easily accessible. Many of his stories are relatable, engaging, and most importantly exciting. He’s become an integral part of the Marvel brand, but for people that know him from his many movies, the comics can be seen as intimidating, uncharted territory. With a little bit of help though, anyone can find a Spider-Man comic that appeals to them and gives them everything they’re looking for in a story. Hopefully these recommendations will do exactly that for you, and act as a jumping off point for you to find even more amazing Spidey comics. Most people remember Drake Bell as the good-looking, charismatic stepbrother on the hit Nickelodeon show Drake and Josh. Unlike his costar Josh Peck, who has stayed in the public eye by posting frequently on YouTube, Drake Bell seemed to disappear after his career at Nickelodeon. However, fans were shocked when Bell took to Twitter to reveal he would be pandering to his Latin American audience and be speaking solely in Spanish from now on.
This apparently began at the end of 2019 when Bell performed at the Telehit, which is similar to the MTV Music Awards. He received so much positive feedback and he realized that most American artists ignore their Latin American fans and don’t make a good enough effort to communicate with them. Drake Bell then changed his Twitter name to “Drake Campana” (“campana” translates to “bell”) and on Nov. 17, 2019, he tweeted, “mis redes sociales ahora solo estarán en español, no más inglés,” which translates to, “my social networks will now only be in Spanish, no more English.” Since then, Drake Bell has only created content and released music in Spanish.
Reddit users explained that this makes sense because Drake and Josh is still extremely popular in Latin America. Many Latin American fans still comment on Drake Bell and Josh Peck’s social media pages with references to the show that hasn’t been on the air in America in over 10 years. Users also pointed out that Drake Bell was touring mainly through Spanish-speaking countries in 2019, so speaking Spanish on social media is useful.
However, many American TikTok users are beginning to speculate that Bell did this because of allegations brought against him by his ex-girlfriend Melissa Lingafelt. Lingafelt took to TikTok to share her experiences while dating the actor when she was 16 and he was 20. She claimed that Bell was verbally and physically abusive during their two-year relationship and although he denies these allegations, he was still in a relationship with a minor when he was over the age of 18.
These allegations didn’t surface until August 2020, almost a year after Bell started creating content in Spanish so there is no solid evidence that the two are connected. Yet, American audiences are still skeptical of his actions. After he publicly confronted Josh Peck for not being invited to his wedding, fans are assuming Bell will do anything to stay relevant.
